Learn to Assess Your Self confidence & Self Esteem
How confident are you depends on your feelings about yourself. Friends and relatives can give you their assessment but bear in mind that is their perspective. This may be sufficient if all you care about is how people think of you.
However, you may be uncomfortable and uneasy on how you feel internally. You may display confidence to others but internally, you may be apprehensive and worried on whether you can do the job or live up to the people’s expectations.
Your worries and concerns will eat you up and cause you a lot of anxiety and tension. Try to assess yourself and determine your level of self-confidence.

Confidence in oneself depends on many factors. When you were young and with friends, you might have felt confident speeding on the highway. With more years of experience and slower reflexes, you might not feel as confident driving down the road.
Knowledge and experience are driving factors in bringing up a person’s confidence. Here are some other indicators that could help you assess your level of self-confidence.
Your determination to undertake a situation can heighten your self-confidence. If you know what you want, where and how to get it, then you will be more confident and assured in accomplishing it. You will feel more determined and sure of your actions if you have complete knowledge and control on the undertakings.
You should be properly motivated to achieve your objective and nothing should detract you from it. Your approach must be focused and centered on your goal. If you feel that your actions are noble and highly esteemed by others, you may feel a sense of importance and righteousness in your actions.
Your actions are defensible and respected by others. You believe that what you are doing is right and just. These factors will strengthen your self-confidence.
You should be objective in your actions and in the proper emotional state of mind. Your outlook must be positive and highly optimistic in achieving your goals.
Have a good grasp of your capabilities and optimize on your strengths. You must have a clear understanding of your weaknesses and know how to work around them.
Your sense of achievement is getting the job done in an excellent manner. Be aware that although perfection is aspired, it is seldom met in real life and you must be willing to settle for a job well done.
You can adapt to changes, resolve problems that crop up and still keep sight of the big picture. You take people’s advice in mind when making decisions. Your willingness to take risks demonstrates your ability to act in the face of uncertainty.
You should be ready to put yourself on the line. Evaluate these signs carefully as indicative of confidence and not rashness. Expand your life and take on the responsibilities confidently.

I purchased this Self Confidence CD to deal with my negative mental chatter. New to the writing field, my self doubt beats up on me so strongly I talk myself out of projects before starting them.
Trevor Scott has an excellent voice for hypnosis, inspiring trust - I'm not worried he's hidden subliminal message to make me do something against my will.
He speaks with so much confidence I am able to internalize his messages. I've bought several hypnosis recordings where foreign accents, unsureness in the voice of the speaker, and background music that sounds like alien landings took the value out of the session, for example: Hypnosis to Enhance Creative Writing by Charles Vald.
I was relieved Trever Scott did such a good job with voice, choice of background music, and well worded messages. I would like to see more Hypnosis CD's available from Trever Scott.
All this being said, my husband didn't care for his voice but I think that may be because some men would only trust a woman's voice in a hypnosis situation. Excellent Job Trever Scott! Thank you.

Beverly Engel is quickly becoming one of my favorite self-help book writers. This is her newest book, and a must read for anyone who was abused or who had a difficult childhood.
Beverly Engel describes the various negative parental mirrors and how they effect children, and how these negative thoughts and beliefs about the self are carried into adulthood. She also provides are powerful step by step program (including journal writing) to help you move through your feelings, coming out the other side with a renewed sense of hope and with new tools to use for the future.
This may also be good for anyone who is harsh and critical of his/herself and would like some tools to be kinder to him/herself. Very validating and empowering book.
Improving Self Esteem with Hypnosis
To succeed in life and to meet your goals and ambitions it is essential to have good self esteem and good image of your self worth. If you have low self esteem and don't feel that you are worth much then your chance of achieving your dreams are much lower.
When we are born we are innocent and as such will have reasonably good confidence levels. We have little fears and nothing to make us feel worthless so we believe in ourselves and believe we are capable of anything and everything.
However as we make our journey through life we have many different experiences, some of which will affect our confidence and self esteem.

They haven't failed, some things are just not controllable no matter what and that does not mean that you have failed. A person with high self esteem will realize that it is something they cannot control and will accept it and move on.
When moving through your journey in life there will be many situations that you cannot control and there will be many situations that you can control.
You need to work with those situations that you can change or control and use them in your journey to success. You need to prioritize what is important in life and what you need to do to make your journey a success.
Don't rush into things as you may not get the result you are looking for if you rush and don't take the time to follow your plan. Learn to understand your own talents and strengths and use them to your advantage, this means you may need to change some of your habits and your perspective.
You might need to change your attitude toward life and toward different situations in life and you will need to learn to be happy with what you have. Finding happiness in what you have now will help you achieve your dreams.
If you are working toward a career or financial goal there are many things that are out of your control, such as the economy and interest rates. There is no point feeling down and blaming yourself if you are struggling because of these issues that you cannot control.
Everyone is facing the same situation and some people will choose to play the role of the victim while others will choose a more constructive approach and plan how they can improve their situation.
Those who play the role of the victim will generally have low self esteem and will always continue to fail until they can change that attitude.
While there are times in life that will be very challenging, your attitude toward life will make a big difference on the final outcome.

Everything in this DVD is great and practical - Self confidence really is everything! He says to have a clear goal and remind yourself of it every single day. He also says that negative thoughts attract negativity, and I totally believe this.
A common denominator for success is confidence, and successful people absolutely believe that they'll be a big success. You become what you believe in! You can't afford to have low self-confidence.
I love this DVD and watch it every once in a while for a reminder. Highly recommended!
How to Develop a Can-Do Attitude
When a person has a can-do attitude, it only means that he is optimistic enough about everything that goes on around him.
He always believes that success can be met, as long as he sets his mind to it --- and there is truth to that.
Negativism is not welcome in your search for success. If you want to reach the top, which can be very gruelling, you need to believe that you can get there.
Even when the journey becomes much too rough and tough, you need to believe that you can still go on and finish. Needless to say, it is important for you to learn how to develop a can-do attitude.
There are things that you can do, in order to develop a can-do attitude:
• Do not be afraid to do something different.
A lot of people are hampered by their fear of facing the unknown.
Many people do not like going out of their comfort zones, that is one of the no-nos, when you are working your way to the top.
Not everything you have to do, will be something that you are comfortable with, but you should not close your doors to things just because it is out of your comfort zone.
It is quite easy to deal with new things. You can study it, ask the help of some of your friends and family, who have had some experience with this new thing you are about to conquer, or you can just take the risk and attack it with much care.
• Focus on the issue at hand.
If you are dealing with an issue, whether a big one or a small, you need to concentrate on that issue and you should take things seriously.
If you want to be able to deal with it properly, you will need to be focused at hitting it.
Do not saturate yourself with so many things. You can do this easily, be looking back in your history, for some positive experiences that will help you solve this dilemma at hand.
Attack it knowing that you have already done it before and achieve greater results.
• Watch what you say.
A big part of having a can-do attitude is facing everyone and looking at yourself saying “Yes I can!”
When someone comes to you with something, instead of your usual answer of “I cannot”, go ahead and say “I can!” Do not be afraid to take on the challenge. Do not be afraid to make bold claims.
• Be a problem solver.
Instead of being afraid of hardships and problems, you should try to enjoy facing new challenges. You should be the type of person who thrives on problem solving situations.
Instead of saying “I cannot”, ask yourself: “What can I do about this?” You should aim to be excited to be the one that solves the problem, rather than the one that flees from it.
You have to understand that problems come and go. You will deal with them, however, careful you try to be. What is most important is that you are able to deal with it, with a can-do attitude.
If you are always going to be the type of person who says “I cannot”, then you will never get the things you’ve dreamed of having—success, financial freedom, fame, fortune, and respect.

Based on my personal experiences this unique book's explanation of the cause and cure for anxiety, OCD, and depression is innovative and correct.
I am successfully recovering from a forty year long midlevel depression and anxiety disorder and "Evolving Self-confidence" is guiding my way.
This book helped me in a manner more effective, more understandable, more relatable, more articulate, and more precise than any of my experiences with other self-help books, psychiatrists, psychologists, university professors, advising loved ones and friends, presentations and workshops, medications and nutritional supplements, or any other source of treatment.
Some people believe that depending on the personality and condition of the reader, one self-help book may be best for some readers while a different book may be better for other readers.
If this is the case then I would say "Evolving Self-confidence" is the best book for the largest possible number of people. If, however, this is not the case and one form of treatment can help the majority of people then I would say this book is the best PERIOD.
